2024 WVU ELEY Open

West Virginia University will host this year's WVU ELEY Open inside the WVU Shell Building on May 18-19. Cost is $50 per match (one relay) for either event.

Event Info

Competitors can choose to shoot either one or both days, and multiple relays per day.

Competitors can shoot a 3x20 Smallbore match, 60-shot prone match, or both.

However,ONLY the first 3x20 match shot each day will count as a USA Shooting ranking score.

3x20 Smallbore - This will follow ISSF rules and the match will be 90 mins.

60 Prone - This will be an open event and the match will be 50 mins, but will allow non-compliant shooting jackets, hats and front sight diopter maginifcation.

PARKING

Parking for this event will ONLY be at the front of the buidling by the outdoor track. Access into the building will only be from this side and not the back side by the tennis courts due to the set up of the range.

WVU Shell Building

Home to one of the finest indoor facilities on the east coast, the West Virginia University rifle team takes shelter in the winter months in the WVU Shell Building. Conveniently located beside the WVU Coliseum, the Shell Building also houses the indoor track facility which features a top notch track as well as adequate room for field events.

Directions

From I-79 North and South

Take the Star City/WVU exit (155) and follow signs to Morgantown. Cross the Star City bridge and proceed up Monongahela Blvd (Jerry West Blvd) toward the Coliseum. The WVU Coliseum is located on the right. The approximate distance from I-79 to the Coliseum is 1.5 miles.


From I-68 East and West

Take the Pierpont Road/Airport exit (7). Follow signs to the stadium. At the second traffic light off the interstate, turn left and travel up Easton Hill. Turn right on Route 705 and stay on this highway as it becomes Chestnut Ridge Road. Turn left onto Van Voorhis Road and follow this road around as it becomes Patteson Drive (Coliseum willbe located straight ahead). The approximate distance from I-68 to the WVU Coliseum is 6.5 miles.
